Halacha - Conversion
Submitted by anonymous  Answered by Rav Peretz Moncharsh

Once a Jew always a Jew, and the person is still Jewish. Therefore if he chooses to return he need not convert and if a woman converted her children are still Jewish. However, a meshumad, apostate, has certain specific Halachos such as not counting towards a minyan, etc.
