Parshas Bo: Rav Yaakov Kaminetzky - Let The Geula Wait
Rav
Yaakov Kaminetzky points out the incredible loyalty that Bnei Yisroel
showed to the mitzvos on the night of Yetzias Mitzrayim. In light of
the dying all around, Paroh came running and screaming that everyone
should leave Mitzrayim immediately. Paroh has a bad track record of
changing his mind after the Maka passes. Who knows what would happen
if they don't leave right away and wait until the morning? However
Hashem commanded them not to leave their homes until the morning.
This is a lesson for the last generation, says Rav Yaakov. When the big moment of Moshiach's
arrival finally comes, if it entails violating a single aveira, then
the geula can be postponed and do not under any circumstances be oveir,
no matter the repercussions.
