The Shulchan Aruch paskens (OC 308:4) that anything you have absolutely no use for on Shabbos is Muktza even if its normal use is not assur on Shabbos. An example of this is keys to places that you have no use for on Shabbos. What happens if you have a key ring with both muktza keys and non-muktza keys must you remove them before Shabbos?
The Shevet HaKehosi says (4:105) that you need not remove the keys and may carry the key ring with all the keys on it. The reason is that the key ring makes it a single unit. Since you need some of the keys, moving it would not be considered without purpose. Moreover you don’t even need to remove the keys before shabbos. It is perfectly okay to leave them with the intention of moving the key ring on shabbos.
