Piskei Tshuvos: Should A Boy Becoming Bar Mitzva In Middle of Chanukah Light Before Tzais HaKochavim?
If a boy becomes Bar Mitzva during Chanukah and his minhag is to light by Shkia what should he do? If he lights at his usual time he is not yet Bar Mitzva. Can he wait until after Tzais HaKochavim? Most Poskim pasken like the Hagahos Chochmas Shlomo who says he should not wait and he should light at Shkia. However he cannot be Moitzi anyone since he is still a Katan.
The Tzafnas Panei'ach goes even further and says he should not be Moitzi anyone even the remaining days of Chanukah after his Bar Mitzva since the Mitzva of Chanukah is one long Mitzva and he started as a Katan. (See Piskei Tshuvos 675:4 and footnotes)
