Why Birchas HaChamah On Erev Pesach Should Bring Moshiach
There is a heated debate going around whether Rav Shimshon MiOstropolia actually said that the next time Birchas HaChamah falls on Erev Pesach the Geula will come shortly thereafter.  Whether in fact he did say this or not becomes less important after experiencing it yourself.

Although I personally have not been caught up in the Birchas Hachama frenzy the past few weeks or months, this morning was an astounding experience but only partially.  The rest is yet to come tonight at the seder.  Thinking about the juxtaposition of these two event can give you the goosebumps.  It is hard to give an analogy since the gap is beyond comprehension, but what crossed my mind in our pre-sunset Shacharis this morning made me thing of a magic show.  First the magician shows us a huge object, a building a mountain, whatever.  Then he shows us his hat.  He then goes on to perform tricks with the huge object, where seemingly the hat is in control.  It can swallow the mountain, reduce the building to bunny rabbit, make it spin or make it fly.  Then it can regenerate the building all over again.

This morning Hashem showed us his mighty sun, 1.3 million times the size of the entire earth!  Then he told his loyal subjects, Klal Yisroel, who are not even a speck on the earth, to stand before it.  Tonight during Yetzias Mitzrayim, Hashem is Mishaded Ma'arachos, he spins the sun, the moon, and the entire bria on its head all to the whims of his Osei Ritzono, those who serve him.  With the slightest mitzva we do we can turn over worlds.  When a child does an act of chesed or a person utters a few words of Torah, the vast Heavens quake from the awesome power we generate.  Amazing!

A man once came to ask a Shaila before a very intimidating Yerushalmi Gadol.  He walked in to the Rov's room with visible trepidation.  The Rov said to him, "You are intimidated by me, I am scared of my wife...  and my wife is terrified of a mouse.  That means that you and I both are powerless compared to the mouse, so you need not fear me.  The entire creation in subject to a single ordinary Yid who has the power to shake it to its core.  Who can control this mighty Yid?  Great armies, powerful men?  No, a fancy car or house.  The taste of fleeting and fake Kavod.  A silly newspaper.  A fluffy pillow.  A good piece of cake.   Could you imagine, the whole bria, the sun, the moon, the stars, the oceans and all its fish, the land and all its inhabitants, are held hostage to a chocolate chip cookie!

In the morning we say Birchas HaChama and contemplate the power of the Bria.   Later we tell the story of Hashem's love for each and every one of us, the miniscule creature that Hashem created as the ruler of His universe.  We realize the acharayus, the tremendous responsibility we have in correcting the past, creating the present, and building the future.  We realize our role is so large and it is not just about "me".  We feel empowered to a real cause.  We think about our constant chase after honor, money, and comfort.  We are ashamed of the time and energy we invested in chasing these most trivial things that bring only ourselves pleasure and only for a moment.  A moment in which we could have changed the course of the world forever.

With these thoughts we will bring ourselves a personal geula.  We will earn the freedom to escape triviality and accept our critical role that we were assigned.  Once we do this, there is no doubt that the final geula will follow shortly thereafter.  Surely under these conditions, from the greatest of tzaddikim like Rav Shimshon MiOstropolia to the simplest of men including myself, we can all predict the geula.
