|Halacha - Jewish Wedding In Israel|

|Question: Is it possible for a couple who have had a civil wedding in the UK to still have a Jewish marriage in Israel afterwards? I understand that it Jewish law a civil marriage isnt recognised but could you confirm that it would not make it difficult for Jewish wedding to be permitted? Thank you
There is no reason according to Halacha that a civil marriage performed outside of Israel should impede one from having a valid Jewish wedding in Israel. However, I am not familiar with the vagaries of the bureaucratic process to know if practically speaking there could be any complications.
