Halacha - Mezuza

It is appropriate to show our love and respect for the mitzva of mezuza by kissing it when we pass by, just like we kiss the Sefer Torah in shul. However, there is no obligation in halacha. A doctor's office is obligated in a mezuza, as it is a place where the doctor would occasionally eat and even take a nap, so it is used similarly to a house.
