Submitted by anonymous  Answered by Rav Peretz Moncharsh
Answer: One is obligated to love his wife even when she is a nidda and he must communicate his feelings to her is a clear and appropriate manner. However, anything suggestive or overly intimate is forbidden. Therefore, the answer to your question would depend on the use of the word "intimate".
