Halacha - Nine Days

Question: I prepared a salad using a meat knife to cut the onions. is the salad now considered meat and impermissible to eat during the nine days?

While the onions are considered to have absorbed meat flavor that renders them forbidden to eat together with meat, the onions will certainly not give one the pleasure of eating a juicy steak that is forbidden during the 9 days.
