Halacha - Davening before early flight
Submitted by anonymous  Answered by Rav Peretz Moncharsh
Question: I'm returning from a foreign trip to Europe next week iyh, and the flight leaves at 7.10 am local Europe time, arriving 8.05 am local UK time. I'd like to daven b'tzibbur when arriving back in UK (should reach shul c.9.15), but am I allowed to take the flight first, or should I daven shacharis b'yechidus (at c. 4.30 am, before leaving for Europe airport!)? Thanks
Answer: If you expect to reach the Shul in your destination before the final time for Tefilla, you should say kriyas shema in it's proper time and daven on your arrival. However if the 9:15 minyan is after zman tefilla, you should daven before your flight, especially if you can daven Shmona Esrei after netz hachama.
