Halacha - Printed Megilla
Submitted by anonymous  Answered by Rav Peretz Moncharsh
Question: Can you review the question of whether one can read megilat Ester from a printed book (not a scroll) for himself/herself or it is imperative to hear it read from a scroll by somebody else.
Answer:

The Megilla must be read from a handwritten scroll. If one is capable of reading it oneself, that is perfectly acceptable.
