Money Matters - Maaser for Megilla
Submitted by anonymous  Answered by Rav Peretz Moncharsh
Question: Are you allowed to use money set aside for Maaser to purchase a Megilla if otherwise you would not be able to afford one?
Answer: No. Maaser must be used to benefit others, not to purchase objects for yourself, even if they are used for a mitzva.
