Halacha - Mug that changes colour on Shabbat

Question: I bought a personalized mug and had a picture and words printed on it. The thing is that this mug doesn't show the picture or writing until you pour boiling water in it. Can such a mug be used on Shabbat if your intention is not necessarily so that you can see the picture. Thanks.
Answer: It should not be used hot on Shabbos.

Here the color change is a direct result of your action, where with photo-grey glasses the change happens by itself.

How is this different from using photogray lenses, which darken in the sun?
