Halacha - Kesuvah for a non-virgin
Submitted by anonymous  Answered by Rav Peretz Moncharsh
Answer: It is a universal minhag to read the kesuba under the chuppa, its omission would be an obvious and glaring indication to all present that something is unusual. However since we certainly don't want to publicly embarrass the kallah, the Poskim discuss two options. Some permit writing the kesuba as if she were a virgin as long as the chassan knows the truth. Others say that two kesubos should be prepared, a standard but not valid one to be read under the chuppa, and a second accurate one to be given privately. You should speak to your Rav and to the mesader kiddushin to make the necessary arrangements.
