Halacha - Taking challah before or after freezing dough
Submitted by Ahuva  Answered by Rav Peretz Moncharsh
Question: Can one make a bread dough, freeze it and take the challah and say a bracha after defrosting it a few days later? Alternatively, can one make the dough, take challah say the bracha and then freeze the dough? I think the answer is why not? to both but just in case...... thought I'd ask. Thank you.
Answer: You are correct that either option is acceptable, however I would recommend taking challa before freezing to avoid the risk of forgetting later.
