Halacha - Rosh Chodesh brachot
Submitted by Nadav  Answered by Rav Peretz Moncharsh
Question: Shalom! There is is minhag that some women have on Rosh Chodesh to light a candle. Since Rosh Chodesh was also made for them, we learn that it's fitting that a woman not do certain kinds of melacha. I was wondering if anyone's ever heard of making a bracha over lighting this candle. Since it's minhag only, I would guess it would be a beracha levatala. Any ideas?
Answer: A beracha certainly should not be recited.
