Parshas Eikev Mitzva # 434 - A Very Practical Way To Cling To Hashem
The Sifri interprets this Pasuk to mean Talmidei Chachomim. Clinging means to interact with them as much as possible in all facets of life including business, marriage, etc. not only for spiritual matters. The special importance to this Mitzva aside from the benefit and positive influence on a person's actions and behavior from associating with Talmidei Chachomim is the fact that the Torah SheBaal Peh fully relies on the interpretation of the Chachomim so we are totally dependent on them.

Any interaction or association with a Talmid Chachom is a Mitzva and anyone who avoids contact with a Talmid Chachom violates this Mitzva.
