|Rav Moshe Feinstein - Burying Ashes Of A Niftar|
In Igros Moshe (YD 3:147:2), Rav Moshe Feinstein writes that if a dead person is cremated, either because they were a Rasha who requested this, or even if their children were Reshaim and had this done to them, their ashes should not be buried in a Jewish Bais HaKvaros. Moreover says Rav Moshe, ashes of any niftar never need to be buried.
