Rav Vosner: Driving Through a Red Light During Emergency
In a case of Pikuach Nefesh and you need to get somewhere quickly to save a life, may you cross a red light if there are no cars and no people that you will endanger?  The issue is that if you are caught you may lose your license.  This will cost you money since you will need to get around without a car and it may also prevent you from saving someone in the future if you cannot drive.

The Shevet HaLevi (7:159) says that you may do so and you should do so.  First of all he says that he doesn’t believe your license will be suspended if you can prove that you were on your way to an emergency.  Even if it will be suspended, nevertheless he says, any future event is only a safek and right now there is a definite Pikuach Nefesh.  (He adds that if your license is suspended and there is a need to drive without a license for Pikuach Nefesh, this is separate matter that must be dealt with.)  He does however say that you must be 100% that there is no danger to other people from your driving.
