Pesach Sheni A Dug Up Note Reveals To Say Slichos or Not?
Although it is not mentioned in the Shulchan Aruch the Minhag is not to say Tachanun on Pesach Sheni. This year Pesach Sheni falls out on Bahab (Three Fast days in Iyar Mon.-Thurs.-Mon.) and the Minhag on Yerushalayim is not to say Slichos. In most other Kehilos Slichos is recited even though Tachanun is omitted. This Minhag is based on a note found upon the excavation of the Churva Shul of R Yehudah Chasid (circa 1800’s not to be confused with R. Yehudah ha’Chasid one of the early Rishonim) in the old city that the ancient Minhag in Yerushalayim is not to say Slichos on Pesach Sheni.
